Christmas magic at Stadshuskällaren
Experience the magical spirit of Christmas with us and let yourself be transported into a world of flavors through our abundant Christmas buffet, filled with classic favorites, wild game specialties, and delicious new dishes. Our delightful dessert and sweets table is made to be savored at length. The wonderful aromas of saffron, cinnamon, allspice, and spruce fill the cozy cellar from late November all the way to Christmas. We decorate every corner of our beautiful venue, light the candles, and play our favorite Christmas tunes.
We welcome all types of bookings, from smaller gatherings to large groups. If you’re looking for a private space, we offer the banquet rooms Linné’s Dining Room or Ragnar’s Pantry.

The Flavours of Christmas
At Stadshuskällaren’s Christmas buffet, you’ll find a wide selection of traditional classics, always with elements of game, forest, and nature — featured on both the cold and warm sections of the buffet. We also offer a generous range of vegetarian options. A few dishes are served directly to your table to add an extra touch of festive luxury. Naturally, we also present a dessert and sweets table with all the trimmings to bring out that true Christmas spirit.

Feel free to explore our wine list — we update it regularly with exciting new selections. For the holiday season, we bring in festive beers, aquavits, and don’t miss our very own mulled wine.

A Festive Christmas Dinner
To set the perfect holiday mood, every room and corner is decorated with Christmas flowers, garlands, trees, ornaments, and all the trimmings of the season. We welcome both large and small parties and offer seating in our dining room, banquet hall, and can also arrange Christmas dinners and parties in Ragnars Skafferi.

In November and December, our banquet hall is beautifully decorated with wreaths, stars, candles, and seasonal flowers — a cozy and festive setting for larger groups looking to enjoy a Christmas buffet in privacy, or for smaller parties seated in separate groups.
We are happy to adapt the table setting according to your preferences and the nature of your event. Linné’s Dining Room was originally the City Hall’s breakfast room for civil servants, once known as the “Eldkvarn Room.” Today, like the rest of Stadshuskällaren, it is furnished with custom-designed chairs and lighting by Jonas Bohlin.
The space accommodates up to 100 guests. For a more spacious setup, we recommend keeping the group to around 60–70 people.
A Timeless Christmas Atmosphere
The festive spirit truly comes alive in Stadshuskällaren’s historic dining room. Under vaulted ceilings and painted frescoes, you’ll feel transported to a classic, old-fashioned Christmas. Wreaths, seasonal flowers, and decorations adorn the space as we welcome guests to our traditional Christmas buffet.
The dining room walls are adorned with paintings by Yngwe Berg (1887–1963), inspired by Carl Michael Bellman’s Fredman’s Epistles. The chairs are specially designed by Jonas Bohlin, drawing from the original chair created for Stockholm City Hall, and the lighting fixtures are also crafted by Bohlin.
